Ludlow is a thriving market town boasting around 500 listed buildings. The centre of the town is an amazing concentration of architectural heritage including, Ludlow Castle, which is now a Grade I listed historic monument, proudly standing on a cliff overlooking the River Teme.
There are also nearly 500 listed buildings in the town as well as the local market and an impressive number of independent specialist food shops: three butchers, four bakers, a cheese shop, chocolate shop, delicatessen, whole food shops, organic food shops... all selling products of the highest quality, much of which is sourced locally. Ludlow Food Centre is a fantastic shopping experience and 50% of their products are made on the premises.
